Services

I offer a range of communications and strategy services for people, companies, and nonprofit organizations that are focused on environmental, social, and human progress.

  • As someone who has worn many hats—magazine journalist, book editor, nonprofit editorial director, and freelance communications consultant—I have extensive experience working on everything from short-form blogs, social media posts, and thought leadership articles to long-form reports and books. I excel at developmental editing and helping amateur writers and thought leaders find their voice. I also offer writing workshops and one-on-one coaching.

  • As a Medill-trained journalist, I’m laser-focused on why the story matters. I work with clients to understand their goals and their audiences’ needs, develop storylines and messages, and create effective strategies and editorial calendars.

  • Since 2008, I have supported corporate clients with sustainability reporting, materiality assessments and strategy, stakeholder engagement, and internal and external sustainability communications.

  • In all of my work, I focus on real human engagement: I do original research and interviews, listen deeply, analyze the issues and the big picture, and develop tailored, effective strategies and compelling stories. I am a curious person, and I indulge my curiosity by talking to people about their lives, work, and passions—and I use those conversations to create stories that matter: stories that change the way we think, act, or view the world. If you need help creating a story that matters, please get in touch.
